This day seems made for me

It’s been raining most of the weekend and last night it upped the ante into some pretty impressive thunder. I love a good day spent inside writing or reading or snuggling up with someone with the rain outside. The temptation to do just that instead of having to drive in the stuff is pretty strong.

At my job you can forget what the weather actually is until you walk around the corner. My cube isn’t near a window, and the bulbs above it have blown out so I’m sitting in my own dark little cave all day. Weirdly I find the dark bit kind of cozy, but I admit it’s a place that is definitely cut off from nature. Get a good enough thunder clap though, and it can grab everybody’s attention.

What’s your favorite sort of weather? Does having to drive into work change that opinion?

On a Writer’s Retreat

I’m taking a week to work on the book exclusively so updates will be sporadic (or potentially non-existent) this week. Right now I am sitting on a screened in porch sipping coffee and listening to the rain fall. This is my favorite kind of writing weather. Hope all is going well with you.
